Jacobs is a great place to work
Pros
For a large company, Jacobs is an outstanding place to work. If you like working on interesting and exciting projects, and working with a company who actually values employee health, this is the place for you. From management, to colleagues everyone has a hard working, fair, and non-judgmental demeanor about the work you do. You are invited to set goals within the company but there isn't too much if any focus on micromanaging your work. My opinions have felt welcomed at all levels of project conversations, and my team has been very collaborative.
Cons
As with any large company, sometimes you feel a bit lost in the system. That being said, Jacobs provides various networks you can be a part of to increase visibility to other projects or teams should you need to change projects. Projects can also change or run out of funding without much notice causing some uneasy times while you wait for new work to arrive. You have to be proactive within and market your own skills.
