Pros

Both the HR and Talent Acquisition teams were filled with hard working and knowledgeable people. Also, you have a change to work with smart and motivated people on the Operations side as the projects are big and unique. Recruiters find good people good jobs at Jacobs. Also the 9/4 schedule adds to life work balance.

Cons

It feels like you are on a island at times as the Talent Acquisition team is spread across North America. Even with the best intentions, it is set up in such a way that management is difficult and requires it to be done remote. You work for years with people you never actually meet. Very senor level people (who are great) have a lack of understanding of how the compliance world and internet world have transformed the hiring process even now.

Pros

There really are no pros to working for this company. At least not at this office. The only thing remotely close to a pro is that Friday's are half days.

Cons

I could go on and on but the main con is, if you work they give you more. If you don't, they take your work away and give it to someone else so you have time to be social, make personal phone calls, and take 30 minute breaks throughout the day. The micromanaging is also horrid. It feels almost as if you need schedule in your bathroom breaks and ask permission. Recently, there have been several people to leave. Some even taking pay cuts just to get out. There is no room for advancement. They'll hire outside before promoting from within. And if you expect appreciation or even just a thank you, make sure to be there on days when higher ups are there. That's the only chance you'll get to hear it.
