Awful Company

Pros

Autonomous if you bill clients for your time otherwise you're gone.

Cons

They are cheap! They cater to women and minorities. They cut 401K contributions and instead donate to radical movements. The insurance is awful!

Great company, but doesn't invest in IT

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Focus on ethics and integrity, diversity, employee networks. Jacobs treats clients well and does good work in the world. CEO Steve Demetriou is a strong leader and a genuinely good person. Company invests in client-facing technology.

Cons

IT layoffs every 6 months and unrealistic budgets create a culture of fear and struggle. Frequent IT reorgs and leadership changes don't allow for plans to be developed and seen through to completion. Pace of M&A doesn't allow time/budget needed to update and improve internal systems and processes. Core team members not protected through M&A, so turnover of key talent, and loss of institutional knowledge.
