Smart, caring, responsive management. Hard work and long hours, but rewarded and recognized.
Pros
I and anyone else I've worked with have always been treated with immense respect. The daily incentive has been attainable, at least for me, and it pads the paycheck really well. There are genuine opportunities to advance as we grow, management listens, the trucks are actually maintained well, and there is actual PTO to use. If you can handle the work, this is a great environment to be part of and I feel lucky to have landed here.
Cons
...but, that's if you can handle the work. This is a really competitive industry, and sometimes we're pulling long hours to take care of our customers. We work nights, weekends and holidays, and while your schedule stays mostly consistent there are going to be times when you have to be flexible. Not always, but sometimes. Plus, we're out there pulling a fuel hose all alone in all weather conditions: rain, snow, heat, whatever. Save yourself the trouble now if you're looking for something easy, painless, and soft. If you don't mind a little flexibility or getting dirty, though, then this is a great job.
