Pros

• Perks (Use of Recreation Facilities, Discounts on Visual & Performing Arts and Sports tickets, Seasonal Events, Opportunity to listen to Great Guest Speakers [often for free], Discounts in area with ID card, etc) • Great Opportutnites for Training & Development • Strong Atmosphere of Environmental Stewardship • Beautiful, well maintained grounds • Award winning and diverse selection of over a dozen dining locations on campus

Cons

• Slow to promote, antiquated evaluation process, overcomplicated and uncompromising hiring process. Internal departmental transfers go through same process as outside applicants, but preference given to both graduates and current employees. • Vast differences in the way they treat Full time (called Classified) Employees and their Part time (called Wage) employees or Adjunct vs. Regular Faculty. • Need to know people to go anywhere!
