* colleagues were great to work with and I enjoyed my 9 years as a educator * strong students coming into JMU College of Business * outstanding community

Cons

* difficult administration to develop instrinsic motivation to go above and beyond to achieve life long success. * it was more important to tow the company line than it was to achieve exceptional results in or out of the classroom. * adherance to unstated policies was expected

Pros

JMU offers great benefits with time off packages and professional development opportunities. I was also supported with lots of trainings and I have a particularly helpful and positive work group.

Cons

Ultimately the pay is not very high for having a degree and classified staff rarely get opportunities for stipends or bonus pay.

Politics. Double and Triple Dukes everywhere, especially in bloated Administration. No transparency. Low pay. Faculty are not a priority.
