      Good job, but work you extremely hard

      Pros

      Lots of good hands on experience and design experience, good people yo work with

      Cons

      Work you extremely hard snd long hours even if you are a newer employee. Give beginning and young engineers too much responsibility. Culture there is work as hard as you can until you really become burnt out. The upper management does not really have time to mentor young engineers as well as they could to get newer engineers up to speed on the task that is at hand.

      Pros

      -lots of roles: design, quality, manufacturing, processes, -aerospace manufacturing of cool parts -fairly easy to move up the ladder initially -smaller family owned company -pretty young average work force -very rewarding when successful on projects because you own such a large percent of the project -learn a lot of systems and processes that large AS9100 aero companies operate under

      Cons

      -small company means large growth into management is limited to people retiring. (Which is a ways off for a lot of these guys) -high expectations of success and first pass yield without proper training in a lot of the roles -high stress because of the high responsibility -work life balance is poor. You are pretty free to only work 40 hours "if all your work is done and covered, but the workforce is so lean it's very difficult to get it all done on. -you have to really fight for reasonable raises. -on call 24/7

      Pros

      Nice people (in general)! People are very smart and well spoken (seems like they take this seriously in the interview process. "Good English") Lots of different and cool projects. Definitely a good place to start your career. Work life balance is solid. Super clean facilities. Peaceful area.

      Cons

      Pay and benefits are not as competitive as most companies. Raises range from 0-3% Not very diverse. Culture non-existent. Other than the BBQ and Christmas party. Unless you are an outdoors person, not much in the area. The vibe is very "I am fine here and ready to settle down". Very low energy. Relationships are just transactional. High turnover rate, maybe because of reasons above. Now I know why it was refered as JI university. Get in, get your experience and get out (1-2 years). Because of the high turnover, there is lots of inefficiencies.
