Business Outlook
Pros
Lots of opportunity for young engineers to get onto projects you would not see at bigger companies. People are very encouraging, willing to help, and treat mistakes as learning/growing opportunities even on very important issues.
Cons
Work life balance can be compromised as there is not a really great standard set for younger engineers. Mentorship is not structured, need to seek it on your own. Learn a lot from a technical perspective, but from a career growth you need to be willing to step back, reflect, and put the time in on your own because there is not too much being taught on that front as a result of lack of mentorship structure.
