Pros

Good benefits. Good compensation. Large conglomerate to expose yourself to a lot of industries. Great place to develop your career.

Cons

Conservative old fashion family business. Slow in technology adaptation. Some middle management are shallow and not respectful to the staff members. Group companies are too decentralized - weak in corporate culture.

Pros

Assigned to Gammon Construction which operates under Jardine. Great experience. Pretty relaxed but it's still a good overview and great insight into the overall functions of a corporation. I was mentored by one of the JETs, and basically did first-year JETs work under supervision.

Cons

Like all internships, there are days of pure boredom.
