More politics than most banks.

Pros

Good range of employee benefits. Good place to start off a career in the world of banking.

Cons

Recurring theme - emails talking about an amazing 1st, 2nd, 3rd quarter/"record breaking results" will go out, however disaster will strike in the final quarter, meaning bonuses "won't be as good as we'd have hoped". On paper, the company culture promotes openness and transparency, however in reality you will be isolated and put on the firing line should you speak up. HR are NOT independent. Everyone has an agenda. Be warned.

Bad place to work

Pros

This has been the worst place to work in my career. Avoid especially if you are a junior.

Cons

Pay is very low, no career progression, management in London is totally dependent on NY and really have no say.
