Pros

Up and coming firm gaining a lot of market share. Hiring a lot of strong senior level bankers. Unconstrained by new regulatory environment.

Cons

Very intense and political environment. Getting on the right team is important. Brand name is ok, but lags some peers. Compensation is in-line with the street but never above.

Pros

Firm has grown in recent years, but most of the upward mobility opportunities seem to be gone.

Cons

Jefferies thinks its a bulge bracket bank and a lot of the bankers actually think they have a chance at deals against Goldman, Morgan Stanley, and JP. It's hilarious.
