Pros

Since it is a small shop, you have a good opportunity to learn and progress within the firm. Less bureaucracy than other shops.

Cons

If there are no deals going on, work can be really boring and compensation will be hit hard. Smaller groups compared to other firms so less opportunity to grow network.

Pros

Good place to work if you are looking to work in middle-market. They don't have the brand recognition of other banks outside of financial circles but they do work on some good deals. Comp is similar to other banks although bonuses are probably lower.

Cons

Still not considered a top shop for M&A compared to other middle-market banks, although they have a decent flow.
