Great People and Great Work Flexibility

Pros

The company is very flexible and well-positioned for working remotely even before the pandemic. People are great, I genuinely enjoy working with professionals here. Engineers support each other across projects and teams.

Cons

The company merged with smaller companies and has many small offices around the country. It can be difficult to get to know who is who and who does what. Also, the culture or environment in each office could be quite different from office to office.

Thanks for dropping a note here! Fostering a flexible work environment has been a key priority for us this year, so we are happy to see that you enjoy the flexibility. The company has undergone large organizational changes, and while they have been exciting and are putting us on the right path, we realize it takes time to adjust. Based on hosted feedback sessions held with staff across the organization in 2020, we implemented a new organizational structure that we are hopeful will foster the One Company atmosphere you are looking for. doer-seller attitude creates more stressful environment. Company appears to be more focus on growing into specialty engineering firm than supporting those that allowed the company to exist from the beginning.

Thank you for your feedback and longstanding tenure with JH. We continue to have a doer-seller workforce. However, we are hopeful the new organizational structure that more directly aligns our corporate functions and administrative team to support Operations and the addition of a few key roles will alleviate some of the stress for our staff.
