Working for Jet in Basel.

Pros

Pay is good for the industry but under average for Basel. Easy to find. Not in the centre of Basel. Holiday parking is a good benefit.

Cons

If you are not part of the club it is impossible to progress. There is a terrible blame culture. Despite having to do Human Factors training some people are unable to accept this. Bottom line is this is now a US company and when it comes to the bottom line jobs will be axed to keep the share holders happy. Large nepotistic network, lots of brothers, cousins etc work there.

Pros

I would have given a half a star just for my pro comments however the system does not allow it. Able to work on-site with aircrafts. Overtime is rewarded through flexitime. Good engineering tools.

Cons

Management's emphasis is only on making money. No consideration at all for employees, quality and process adherence. Process improvement is done mainly for accreditation however not enforced as management's incentive is purely to make money. A silo culture where teams do not want and are afraid to work with each other. Process is not followed or sustained. Priority is to adhere to schedule with big compromise to quality of products. A Hierarchical culture where changes are made by management with no inputs from employees.
