Pros

Pay varies depending on the days that and times that you work, flexible work schedule! Management really makes sure that you are free on the days that you have other commitments. Short shifts with good pay, able to work double shifts in a day. Residents are friendly and most staff is reliable.

Cons

Sometimes management is spotty. Continuously ask to pick up shifts that other employees call out for. Disregard for anyone that is in school or has another job.

Pros

Extremely well run. Very caring staff, from the nursing assistants to dining to maintenance to upper management and the CEO. The organization has a vision of helping older adults live their best lives, and has specific plans on how to do that. Management is very visible and hands-on. CEO very down to earth and builds relationships with the residents and employees.

Cons

Only con I can hink of is that many administrative staff are located in the Jewish Home building, in areas with few or no windows. However the Home is being renovated in the next year so hope that will improve.

Pros

They will do special scheduling (school) Over time available

Cons

Scheduler is awful and borderline abusive to employees (management doesn't care) They'll ask for doctor's notes but write you up for being sick (yet, tell you to call in if you're sick so that the residents won't catch ailment) Always short staffed NO PAY RAISES "Holiday Pay" (you get paid is you're off for a holiday but that holiday counts as one of your scheduled days off) Scrubs are cheap and itchy and don't breath "Yearly Bonus" (Only a handful of people in the facility gets this) Don't promote from within unless you stay in the department you were hired for (ex. CNA to LPN to RN to Nurse Manager, ect)
