Pros

Jimmy Johns is a franchise so it really gives a small business vibe depending on the store you're at. This can be awesome when it comes to dealing with hardships and needing to speak with your supervisors.

Cons

Since it is a franchise, a lot of things can get swept under the rug and sometimes you feel stuck when management won't work with you.

the staff (minus management) and the customers are really the only thing good going for them.

i would say to pick your poison in regards to applying at this location. they have a high turn over rate due to mismanagement. i was employed at this location for over three years (jan 2021-april 2024) and an assistant manager for over two years(jan 2022- april 2024). jan 2021-feb/march 2022) was BY FAR the BEST year to be employed there despite heavy issues in regards to alleged sexual harassment and misconduct. march 2022-aug 2023 was BY FAR the WORST time to be employed with a new person in power who spent their time ridiculing and verbally abusing their staff due to anger problems (an investigation was done over this specific individual through corporate). sep 2023-current, there is not enough words in the world to explain what is wrong with the newest person in power and management there. i presume that this individual was walking on egg shells around upper management that was employed there before they (upper management) quit. after that, in my perspective, they chose to create a facade around their upper management to appear that they were running the store so well when in reality they actually was forcing extra labor onto their staff so they didn't have to do their job. complained constantly when they was there, blamed everyone for problems they created for themself, aired out issues to STRICTLY the morning crew (the shift they works), and/or publicize an issue that is with a specific person and YELL at this person in front of ALL the staff present. within these past 3 years prior to this new person in power being hired, i had went my time there with no reports, infractions, complaints, etc. then all of a sudden after this person was hired, i ended up on probation and then later terminated. be wary of what you say outside of work, there's a chance that someone is secretly showing those messages to management which can get you terminated. with that said, if you plan to work here, be the main man's best friend unless you want to become a scapegoat (regardless if you become their friend -- you'll most likely already become one). ultimately, i had no plans to post onto this forum until i was made aware that this location continues to badmouth me despite me being terminated back in april 2024.
