Pros
-good worklife balance -unlimited PTO (that I have utilized extensively in six months and have never had a thing said to me about working when I’m off, being on, etc) -no micromanagement and a good small team / division culture (management is great, caring, and helpful. I knew my manager from a previous role) -no guard rails. Can conduct business temp and perm across US in any vertical -free technology such as outreach, LinkedIn recruiter, internal ATS system, ZoomInfo -100% paid for health care -100% remote -decent paycheck (please note 100% draw with no ramp period) -there is room for growth. This is the key thing that convinced me to come here -this is not a college shop with vanity metrics. Get your job done and put people to work. That’s the task.
Cons
-while I trust my division management I am wary of the corporate side and the c suite. They have laid off 200 people since I started and call it “performance management”. There is an overwhelming lack of corporate responsibility with hiring, spending, communication, and social media. The social media presence is curated and fake. At least two emails get sent out seven days a week from the ceo encouraging a like or a repost. A lot of jobot employee's don’t drink the koolaid on the social media posts. -the CEO sends at least 10 emails a week of LinkedIn posts, (that the content is just a link to the post) often on off Fridays and the weekends which is pretty distracting for rest and recharge mode -I have never worked a Saturday or a Sunday and have produced well over average in my six months of tenure. I take my off Fridays in their entirety. I came with a non compete and this is all new business. I work a very strict 40 hours per week and am very focused while on. If you are not a proactive individual that enjoys business development this is not the right environment. There is no house accounts or account management, it is pure BD. My first role was a mix of build new (75%) and manage old (from people leaving). Was a bit of an adjustment but am doing fine. -the way they are rolling out temporary sales (called jobot consulting) is very disorganized and we do not have true infrastructure in place for candidate ownership or experience. Need a beefier ATS system and honestly better ROEs for temp business to actually be worth pursuing -within the six months I’ve been here they have taken away quarterly trips, botcoins, closers boxes, and the health insurance lapsed. The health insurance lapsing was announced by a pretty vague and imo unprofessional email from the ceo. The email was so vague in fact what had happened didn’t even process when I’d read it, and I went to a regularly scheduled appointment and smacked with a $400 bill that took 60 days to resolve. -The perks above partially sold me on the organization so to have them taken away immediately is very frustrating -although hiring experienced recruiters (who all come with a fat non compete) there is not ramp period. Even a three month ramp would be help (coming from someone who is rapidly ramping and currently green)
