Pros
Not many pros remaining as the school is far behind the times. Most of what made John Carroll a special place for students to learn and staff to work has been destroyed by the current self-serving CFO who slashed positions, suppressed wages and destroyed staff-faculty relations while lining his pockets and those in his inner-circle.
Cons
Senior "leaders" lack any sort of effective communication and listening skills. They are lead by an incompetent and chauvinistic CFO who consistently lies and "leads" by fear. Wages for faculty and staff are extremely low compared to other comparable private universities while senior leaders continue to enjoy exorbitant annual wage increases and other perks. Adjunct faculty (instructors) are not paid a sustainable living wage and are increasingly being used to replace properly trained faculty. This intention is to weaken faculty's position -- all while tuition continues to increase for students who are lead to believe JCU embraces Jesuit values.
