Pros
Excellent benefits, the majority of people that work with you actually care about the business, good opportunities to move around to different departments, generally a friendly environment to work in.
Cons
Senior management of the store seem somewhat detached from what goes on, on the shop floor. Information isn't always passed down in the quickest and most effective manner (recent undersales policy change springs to mind). The illusion of having a say in how the business is run via a debating forum (the company like to really hammer home this idea we have a say)... I stress the point about it being an illusion. Training for new staff members is extremely poor. Incredible inefficiency in some parts of the business. Progressing up the career ladder when starting from the shop floor is incredibly slow from seeing it with my own eyes; it seems to be more a case of being seen as a person with the right face, as opposed to be the person with the right skills...
