Every project is rushed, so you basically are perpetually picking up the pieces as it’s all built. Also other companies you work with are always trying to scam JCI for a quick buck.
There’s also an insane lack of talent to pull from, so with a few years experience you’ll find that you’re all alone, with the only people capable of helping you being long retired. Management has a way of driving the company with the pedal floored while the check-engine light is on.
I’ve noticed the only happy employees are incompetent salespeople who don’t put any effort into developing what they sell, so you’re left to figure out what they sold. No one in sales ever gets fired either.
At this point if I quit or fell ill, our company would be the subject of multiple lawsuits by our customers, just because the only person left to absorb the workload would be my boss, who’s prepared to retire. His boss I don’t think has worked a day in the past twenty years; just moves spreadsheets around and sends nasty-grams when timecards are late.
