It's good pay for salary non exempt.

Cons

Woke company, terrible management, hiring lazy employees then get upset when the hard working ones and fed up and slow down then it becomes an issue.

Pros

People. JCI has some of the nicest people working for them. Flex-time to work around family issues

Cons

Good talent often goes unrecognized because the company makes it hard for management to promote. Who you work for affects your advancement. Upper management is Tyco or imported from the outside. They do not understand the JCI product line and it shows. Negotiate a good opening salary as your annual raises will be small (e.g., 2-3% even in high inflation). Employee morale is low so for two years we have been given surveys that continue to show that US morale is low. The fix is to force employees into more training and meetings, parties and activities that are supposed to be fun. None fixes the fundamental issue of salary, work environment and assignments.

Pros

Probably varies by location and department, but great perks. Flexible schedule, supportive management, smart techs, great coworkers. My office allowed WHF/hybrid. Some of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with and some supervisors that truly care about their employees. Insane amounts of time off. 10 scheduled holidays, 3 floating holidays to use at your will, plus vacation and PTO. A great place to work if you’re a go-getter and have a brain.

Cons

It’s a huge company and it has all the pains that come with that. Lots of red tape and people to go through and sometimes your questions get lost in the void. Some decisions get made that don’t make sense, but are above your pay grade anyway. Not a clear structure so not only will customers not know who to reach out to for specific things, you won’t either. Training is very figure-it-out, there aren’t really any courses. Hopefully you get to work under someone who’s been doing the job for a while. Hard to move into a different position. Hearing about layoffs all the time is scary and they seem to happen at random.
