Pros

Large organization, so there is a lots of mobility for learning different skills. Colleagues are typically supportive, smart and fair. Benefits, salaries and opportunities are always appropriate.Good place for advancement internal as well as external.

Cons

Resurgence of cliques, networks and back door dealings. This is a unintend consequence of a significant HR effort to building teams...what actually was created was a system of cross company networing that was based purely on how quickly you could accelerate each others career regardless of realistic outcomes. Essentially, if you are part of the crowd, you could get fast tracked, slick presentations, get to the numbers as fast as you could, all sizzle no steak mentality... results... poor decisions on quality, sales, and business strategies.. short term personal promotion versus the long term company success.

Pros

Good response time from Warsaw Fire Department during drills Clean facility Excellent soup in the cafeteria! Walkways are kept salted during winter

Cons

At DePuy in Warsaw, many of the managers, but not all, simply do not care about their employees well-being. Indeed, the former are more concerned with maintenance of a high standard of living (including the essential stay-at-home spouse) in this low-cost region. Considerable overtime required to meet deadlines for overaccelerated projects. The company makes liberal use of contractor and temp employees, but no real effort is made to increase permanent employee headcount. The performance rating scale is highly subjective and ranges from 1-9: 1-3 (you're leaving soon), 4-6 (you're working hard), 7-8 (you're wearing knee pads), 9 is off limits.

Pros

Johnson & Johnson has good name recognition & reputation.

Cons

This division of J&J is not fair when promoting and advancing its employees. It is not based on experience or merit, but rather on who knows who. If you are looking for a place to grow and develop your career this is definitely not the place for you.
