Pros

-management at my location is very friendly! -make your own schedule -meet great kids (sometimes) -good hours if you ask (at least at my location)

Cons

-low pay for a nanny -no sick days... even though you take care of sick children all the time -dealing with bratty kids, kids that hit you, and kids that just hate you for no reason. -dealing with bratty parents -too much driving... I don't mind 30 minutes... but 1 hour is definitely too long to take care of kids for just a couple of hours... especially when I specifically asked not to get jobs that far. -no benefits

Don't work here

Pros

The only reason you should work here is if you literally have no other option. Unless you are about to be evicted onto the streets, don't work here.

Cons

-Text messages as early as 6am and as late as midnight all day every day, and you have to respond within 15 mins. Completely takes over your life-- and you're not compensated for that. -They charge clients extra for multiple children, but your pay rate stays the same regardless of the number of children. -Wage Theft: Policy is that you need to show up 10-15 minutes early and if the parent is late, stay for up to an extra 15 minutes without compensation. -Management "restructured" the pay scale, essentially cutting pay, and tried to convince us that we were getting the better end of the deal. -Their caseload doubled, and instead of hiring more people, they worked us even more. And tried to guilt us and manipulate us when we said no. -Driving long distances at God awful hours, often working 10 hr shifts with no overtime. -No professional development or trainings beyond orientation.

It's unfortunate to hear about the negative experience you recently had with our Atlanta office. Each CNT office is owned and operated by local franchisees, with ongoing support from the corporate development team. As we suggest and encourage our local teams to follow the brand structure and resources we have in place, it is essentially up to them how they choose to utilize these resources. That being said, it is in the nature of our on-call nanny services that there may be requests for on-call placements throughout the day. Backup care requires quick responses by nannies to fill the order, occasionally at odd hours of the day. If a nanny placement is more fitting for your schedule or desired flexibility, we offer nanny placements as well. We appreciate your feedback, and wish you luck in the future!
