people cancel last minute and sometimes you don’t get compensation for it.

Pros

The fact I don’t have to find my own families is great. I feel safe going to locations.

Cons

I have many… pay is so LOW. Asking for raise is out of the question unless you’ve worked a certain amount of hours. You also don’t get paid more for babysitting multiple kids, infants, or kids with special needs (red flag). I would not be doing this job if I wasn't in need of money. Even then, the hours to pay ratio is awful.

Pros

App for communication/information for families, increased pay/bonuses for holiday sits, accessible office for communication re; jobs and concerns. I had 2-3 ongoing regular jobs and picked up more as needed. W2!

Cons

Not able to “rate” families post sit, though they are able to rate sitter. I feel like knowing info from other sitters about a family would be beneficial and help me decide in taking a job or not.
