It's a great job to have for a college student.

Pros

You pick when you can work and they are very flexible.

Cons

It isn't guaranteed work every week if you are doing on-call.

Pros

The company does an excellent job of advertising and recruiting students. There are usually enough students to make it worth your time. You set your availability and it is relatively easy to make special accommodations for the things that can come up in daily life. There is a standard curriculum for test prep, making it easy to cover all of the necessary material with a student.

Cons

They offer very little training. Scheduling can often be erratic because students come in on their own terms. They offer poor pay even for well qualified, experienced tutors.

Pros

They pay you more than minimum wage and the people seem nice.

Cons

I gave my manager my tutoring hours and she still hasn't contacted me with clients in 6 months. It's kind of ridiculous but then again I don't know what's up. I don't even know if I'm still employed but I just kind of assume I'm not.
