Pros
Scientists are very nice and hardworking
Cons
Upper management is not understanding, too political and not fair. I've worked at KBI for over a year. My manager was not understanding at all, he always used to bring me down and say only negative things to me. When I complained about him to his manager, nothing was done, as the two of them are good friends. i also have worked on one of the projects for over half a year and when they decided to file a patent on the process, my name was not included and I wasn't even told about it, I found it all out by myself. When I talked to the manager 2 levels above mine, he just ignored my conversation and refused to include my name on the patent or give me credit for my hard work in any way. I've worked in 2 other companies before, but just a year at KBI was the worst experience in my life. My direct manager and other higher ups expected us to work 60 hour long weeks all the time. There wasn't a weekend in a year when I didn't have to come in for at least 5-9 hours in a day. Having a terrible manager who brought me down all the time, although other managers, including his manager told me I've done great and finished project that haven't been in their power to finish before, the horrible company's culture and very political management made my work like miserable at KBI. No wonder why the turn over rate of that place is 1-2 years. Co-workers at other departments disliked KBI as well, as they were not promoted after working there for 4+ years. All the management at Upstream department at KBI is from the same country, and they never hire more than 1 person who is from any other country, which looks pretty unfair to me. There are just so many negative things I want to write about this company that it won't all fit in here. To make it short, please don't waste your time on this company and move on to the next one
