Pros

commute to jersey city is better if you live in NJ. Salaries are decent compared to may other jobs in NJ.

Cons

Pressure could be high at times. Hours can be very long as well.

Pros

Everything was wonderful before the merge. There was a huge respect for one another. Communication was wonderful. Benefits was awesome. Was able to go back to school with the company paying for it.

Cons

New company came and wanted to change things that were not broken. Took a wonderful company and have slowing been making it crap.

There are some very good, highly skilled technical individuals working at KCG

Cons

Confusion as to the type of business KCG is operating in - HFT or Trading. All senior management are from the legacy side of one of the merged company or all recruited from the CEO former place of work which does not give a balance view of the organisation. This leaves existing employees to believe that there is little chance of internal promotion.
