IT help desk staff are unqualified and have little education/understanding of their day to day "tools" and how to go about efficiently using them. Upper management in IT (CIO, Network Admin, etc) are used to doing things the difficult/expensive way. With the sole intent of creating job security for themselves or a small handful of long term staff members which of course comes at a cost to the company itself. The CEO isn't a tech guy so he continues to fund projects which ultimately have no future or purpose. In short, the culture in KCI IT is best described as cutthroat paired with poor communication from Upper Management to New Hires. Existing employees are only concerned with meeting the bare minimum quotas, until they're eligible to cash out their ESOP or until the CEO performs a thorough audit resulting in layoffs Would not recommend if you're looking for a long term career. New hires are unfortunately recycled on a monthly-quarterly basis.

Pay is low in comparison to other companies, don't have the option to be fully remote, understaffed at times
