-Rude Customers Always -Not Enough Hours To Support -Hard to climb management ladder

First of all my last year of employment was closer to 2016, Glassdoor makes me put 2018 at the latest for some odd reason. So get this right at the KFC on Williams field in AZ I would be the cook for any of their shifts that they needed as my first job when I was 18. Apparently KFC likes to operate with 1 cook (sometimes even 0 for a whole hour in between morning and night cooks coming in). Well since it was my first job and I didn’t know any better I tolerated this and they started giving me other shifts as well. Washing dishes, doing prep with coleslaw (freezing my hands mixing cum colored goop with chopped vegetables) also prepping mashed potatoes (wed run through those like mad). I even got the ok to pick up shifts as a cashier and learned how to take face to face and drive thru orders. After I learned the ins and outs of production, my then manager has a new hire drop a steel container of hot oil on the ground which splashes the oil up onto my managers leg giving him 3rd degree burns (they were cleaning the fryer which requires you to funnel all the oil in the fryer into a metal case on the ground). Workers are then expected to slide this literal boiling hot container from catches it hangs on, onto the floor so that you can then clean the fryer with water from a hose. (You obviously have to remove the container and cover it as water mixing with oil is really bad). Well after my manager received his mild maming he quit allowing a new much younger manager to step in. She proceeded to groom me for an assistant management I presumed as she instructed me how to do various manager tasks ranging from taking inventory of chicken, flour, dry mashed potatoes mix, etc. all the way up to taking money from the safe to a bank from drop off in the morning. 3 things then proceeded to happen that made me quit, 1 KFC took notice of how ludicrous it sounded to make us carry that boiling hot metal container so they got us these gloves that were so heat resistant you could literally put your hand into the oil with the gloves on. However because of moisture getting in the air(from the steam made from cleaning a freaking grease fryer with a hose) and no one washing these gloves they grew mold inside them and were forced to be discarded. 2 a friend of mine who had been there before I started quit, and she moved onto better pastures really quick. 3 I caught myself thinking, “Why am I doing this to myself? Why am I busting my butt for a corporation that already admitted that assistant managers get paid only like 1.10 more a hour then my already minimum wage pay? Why am I working somewhere that poses this much of a health risk? KFC eats butt I’m done.” Didn’t even call to let them know I was done, I was just done, things have been an ever upward arrow since for me financially and happiness wise!
