Very much a "good ol' boy" culture

Pros

Great opportunity if you get "in" with the right people. There were some very good managers there, but I believe one by one they left when their conscience wouldn't let them stay in the environment. Flexible work/life balance with regards to setting work schedules and health and fitness opportunities.

Cons

The sexual harassment issues the company is known for do set the tone of the workplace culture, unfortunately. I was specifically told at one point when consulted to hire a new team member that if she was female she couldn't be "too attractive" because of past problems with attractive female employees and management. Sad that candidates were being judged on appearance rather than ability. I was also asked to break the law one more than one occasion in the course of my employment. I refused to do so. I was not fired for it, but it did make my working relationship with the management strained as they were unhappy I would not violate federal law for them.

Pros

KI provides a lot of great opportunities for employees. There are yearly trainings offered to employees for free that are very valuable in career development. I think there is a lot of room for people to advance in their positions if it's something they truly desire. I love that KI is so focused on continuous improvement and stands behind it. I feel there is flexibility in my schedule in that I am able to work around personal obligations.

Cons

Its unfortunate that summers are the busiest time of year

Pros

Insides Sales provided me with the tools I needed to get a field sales postition Managers were very supportive of my desire to move to the field and met with me on multiple occasions to discuss what I could do to improve my marketability to potential District Leaders. Ultimately I was promoted to the field after 2 years in Inside Sales which is what I was promised when I took the job. Large bonus payouts available if you exceed your goal. Friendly envoirnment for different age groups. If you are at or above goal it is a relaxed working envoirnment where the managers tend to let you handle your own business.

Cons

If you are not looking to move out of state there is limited advancement opportunities. Numbers driven to the point that some tasks become very tedious.
