      Pros

      Had a phenomenal experience learning about the charter school network and their mission. Eye opening experience to see children from multiple backgrounds coming into school.

      Cons

      Felt stagnant sometimes, things can get hectic and as a result, my mentor did not have a lot of time to meet with me. Sometimes felt very limited in what I could do.

      Pros

      Educators are hard working and mission driven despite their low pay when compared to the non teaching staff there.

      Cons

      Educators are bullied by Regional Office Staff who are overpaid and less educated with mediocre skills and work experiences.

      Pros

      Other teachers at KIPP Academy Boston are very passionate about their work. Families are invested in the education their students are receiving

      Cons

      Hours are 7 am - 5 pm with only 1.5 hours of "planning time" off during the day, coaching is substantially less than suggested in interviews and on-boarding, some administrators are largely absent from the day to day workings of the school, even if you don't have much experience they expect you to design and implement your own curriculum from scratch with very little support
