Pros
In the particular division I work in, the camaderie is much like a family. We have all worked together for many years and it's very comfortable and cozy. KLA-Tencor also has an on-site gym, which makes it easy to get a workout in during the course of the day. Compensation at KLA-Tencor is comparable; however, if you've served many years there, you find yourself below standard. Bringing people up to the standard does not seem to be in their agenda.
Cons
It is a very "good old boy" company; therefore, the opportunity for women to advance is very slim. In order for a woman to advance, she typically has to have no family life. Again, salary advancement is slow going. Alot of times you will accept more responsibility and not be compensated for it.
