Where do I begin? As a new hire, I experienced the following:
-Sexual innuendos
-Use of profane language by managers during work functions
-Pressure to work constant overtime to make up for overly aggressive timelines
-Condescension and derision from more senior coworkers
-It is my understanding that illegal drug use is not disallowed nor are there any impromptu drug screens
These issues were attempted to be addressed through the manager, but no action taken. Took these issues to HR, HR completely ignored these concerns and called me a liar. Unprofessional conduct at company social functions, like peer pressure to consume alcohol. Generally uncooperative coworkers.
Upon initial start of job, boss went on an extended vacation, assigned non-managers as initial mentors. Due to their lack of interest in mentoring, there was no training. As a result, upon boss's return, boss was disappointed in my performance while he was away.
I tried to remedy all of these situations through proper company channels (HR, using the system as it is set up). After 1.5 months of investigation, my concerns of a hostile and uncooperative company environment were explained away as "normal behavior due to stressful situations of coworkers".
A company to be avoided at all costs, even if you have to beg for food.
