      Pros

      Some interesting technology. Some good people to work with, but in the end you'll just share in the same misery.

      Cons

      People treated like commodities. If they can't make the numbers for the quarter, heads get chopped. PhDs treated worse than construction workers.

      Lots of travel. Relatively high responsibility if you're established in the company. Work-life balance to some degree. Interaction with all major semiconductor manufacturers.

      Cons

      See Pros. Sink or swim. Skills not being used effectively. Network of veterans makes it difficult for non-veterans to advance.
