Work environment has become extremely hostile and negative with no respect shown towards employees life/work balance. There are a LOT of unhappy engineers who are over-worked, over-stressed, and hate the work environment (especially true in WIN division). Atleast in the past people were compensated for being over-worked (you knew it was worth it in the end). You got a spot bonus, profit sharing, good yearly bonus, nice compensation compared to competitors. NO LONGER. Almost all have been taken away, and the so-called great year (just heard about it being great) was the one in which there were 2 RIF's ?? Go figure (well atleast we know a lot of people in sr. management made out real well---its good to know) !
This is really sad, because technology and science-wise ---its a GREAT JOB and the company has good products and a lot of highly qualified good engineers who care about their work and their colleagues. Too bad that Employee morale is SO LOW and there's so much fear around. This shows you how bad management can RUIN just about anything.
