Pros
- The team was great. Professional and easy-going boss, friendly colleagues, helpful mentors and seniors. I met some of their alumni who exited even 3-4y ago still keep in contact with their ex-coworker and they occasionally had lunch or dinner together. - Frequent outgoing events (mostly self-organise between teammate) - Best opportunity for newbie and fresher to get a go. Learn a ton of things school could never. I struggled with professional qualifications like ACCA for a whole year and one internship makes it 60% easier for me to absorb. K has clients from all over the country and even foreign clients so the opportunities vary and are precious. People at K are always welcome to share their knowledge and hand out a hands. There might be some kind of shouting and else, still I see no bad meaning. - Heard sth about working at large firms prevents individual from achieving an overall point of view of the whole process and the way other chains in a block operate on their own. I don't think so. It was usual here when colleagues came and ask for your help, even if you know nothing about that task. Teamwork is also important. - Flexible working hours. As long as your work is properly handled and your client is happy, they give no care when you show up at the firm. - This is probably only for my team: the rule for businesswear is not too strict. Sisters usually have a pair of comfortable thong (?) or sandal to replace their high heels once they arrive at the office. - Might be a plus for most people: workload is initially acceptable, even a little bit too little. They let you get used to things gradually.
Cons
- I'm a workaholic so tbh little workload causes me tons of FOMO anxiety during my first days - I would not say their procedure is a plus. The process of handling documents is sometimes too clunky (?) and causes problems and interruptions and waste a lot. I had a feeling the reason for their heavy workload was due to their procedure, more or less. - In my office there is a shortage of equipment for interns. My laptop takes ages to open a normal excel file. - I don't like the policy of flexible working seat. Imagine one day you come to the office and your seat is taken by a random face you have never seen before, even your personal belongings are still on the table and all around the place. - Terrible air-conditioning system. Even the elevator has better system. - Like everyone said, workload was insane. I did say it was not much at first, but gradually it increased and a day should come when the amount went off limit. - The pressure is real, absolutely real. People here go easy with irrelevant things like outfit (as long as it is business acceptable) and working hours and so on, because working alone is demanding enough. Especially when a mistake was discovered. And no OT money for intern keep that in mind. - This is from my POV only: There are people in and out of the firm almost every week. The engagement between the business and its employees seemed so off to the point people seemingly took it as a sub-stage to higher and better opportunities in their life.
