Pros

You get Scrubs, pay for meals, company outings.. They makes you think you are going to work for amazing company but read the cons!

Cons

12+Hours of pure work on a screen, no breaks. This company makes you work till your eyes start to burn looking at the computer screen. Plus all Audit managers believe they are above all and treats everyone under them as pigs, Managers complain if you need to take off an day off, or if you need a sick day, or if you have kids... If you are not working for Corporate office , you are just a Number and will be fired for any reason if you put all the hours and never complain. You have better chance for working for a Tech company then dealing with Managers here. There is no boss for Managers and Human Resource needs to react to complaints. All employees had to approve loans for Covid or else they will be fired which was unheard of for an audit position. Ceo and executives only wanted promotions but when teaching how to do things .. management failed and put all the blame for interns and new employees less then 2 years. Thanks

Pros

Working with intelligent, hardworking, professional team members, but you have to enjoy them quick before they leave due to the inherent departmental problems.

Cons

Leadership. No gender diversity at higher titles or color diversity. No crumbs for talent retention. No promotion from within. Dead career paths. Low morale. It feels like a Dementor is sucking all the cheerfulness out of the department.

Pros

you get "Big 4" public accounting experience on your resume. You also get plenty of experience dealing with difficult and demanding clients. As in, clients who

Cons

overbearing, draconian, corrupted management Accountants who believe they are god's gift to humanity (these people truly think they are on the same level with brain surgeons and mechanical engineers) EXTREMELY political internal networking (have to pucker up and kiss the right behinds to get ahead) Lots of 1st year associates sleeping their way up the career ladder (physical favors provided to partners in exchange for promotion and cushy job assignments) gotta give a little head if you intend to get ahead There are lots of cronyism and mafia like atmosphere (like house of cards or the godfather). Politics will trump Merit every time. Also lots of fraternity type of behavior (big schools have a strong social network here. If you don't belong to an a major alumni association then you will never truly fit in). Diversity is big so you had better have some diversity in you to make it in the big leagues Partners think that 3-4 hours of sleep per night is plenty for seniors If you think that the big 4 oligopoly is your dream job think again. There is going to be another major accounting scandal in the near future ....
