Pros

I really enjoy interacting with youth and children who need help the most. It's extremely satisfying to see them grow and learn.

Cons

Most of the time I feel under-equipped for my job. Turnover leaves out a lot of information and there's not enough time to review important information, like meds side effects and triggers, before hitting the floor. I also find having sexual assault victims and suicidal teenagers in the same room as 5-year-olds with attitude problems disturbs me.

KVC does a great job keeping employees updated and informed. They also make sure that they are recognized for achievements, birthdays and anniversaries. KVC has a great diversity and inclusion team. My peers and supervisors take the time appreciated each other. They are also very flexible when it comes to work-life balance.

Cons

A lot of departments work from home. So you tend to not really know many people you work with.
