      Pros

      KVC has a clear sense of purpose to help families in need. I feel supported and appreciated by my fellow staff and supervisors. The work allows for flexibility to balance work with family and life. I am always learning something new. My work environment feels inclusive and respectful of all people.

      Cons

      Natural stressors are present due to working with children who have experienced a variety of traumas. There are deadlines for documentation and there is a ton of documentation to do.

      KVC is a rewarding job that provides direct services and education targeted at improving child well-being and preserving child placement with the family. I love being part of working with families and like that my supervisor is always available if I have questions or need ideas. Work-life balance is crucial and our team encourages self-care outlets. I wouldn't want to be doing anything else.

      Most of our families are only available in the evenings, which means we have to be available in the evening also,
