Pros

This is a dynamic, growing company comprised of great people and a culture that makes sure that we have fun doing what we do. We're solving really cool challenges - seriously, who else can underwrite a business in less than 10 minutes based on the information in your bank accounts, PayPal, and Google Analytics accounts? The perks are great, and it helps to relax at the end of a typically busy day on the balcony with a great view of Atlanta with a glass of wine or a cold beer in hand. Free lunch & snacks mean you'll need a new wardrobe after you put on the "Kabbage 15" (seriously - it's worse than college ... we're all older and not nearly as active as we were at 18!), but they sure are tasty. And the dogs are always fun to have in the office - you'd be amazed at how many of your coworkers you meet in an ever-growing company when they stop by your desk to pet your dog, even if your paths might not normally intersect. And lastly, this is a "Pro" if you do your job well and are a good person while doing it - we don't tolerate laziness, obnoxiousness, or lack of performance. If you're not busting your balls trying to excel each day - and doing it in a way that demonstrates respect for our customers and our coworkers - Kabbage isn't the place for you and we'll show you the door. It's a little unsettling to people used to stodgy Fortune 500 environments where someone could be on a 'Performance Improvement Plan' for 2 years and still not be fired when they realize that Kabbage really is willing to move on from employees who aren't a good fit, but it means that we don't let whole departments or teams suffer endlessly when people aren't pulling their weight. Keep up, deliver consistently, and be a good person while you do all that or honestly ... get out!

Cons

We're a company that isn't a startup anymore and we're not yet graduated to being an enterprise. We've got lots of catch-up to do when it comes to setting up basic processes in departments like Finance, Legal, HR, etc. that help grease the operations of a larger organization, but we're getting there. Those growing pains can be frustrating to live through even if you recognize them for what they are. No 401(k) match is a big hole in the benefits plans - there aren't a lot of ways to get around that one, and it's standard at most companies that operate at this level. Free Miller Lite is less appreciated than tax-free money in my retirement account would be, though in an ideal world we wouldn't have to make that deal with the devil!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! We really appreciate you sharing your experiences and are happy to hear about how you truly enjoy working with our team members and within our unique company culture. We care deeply about our team members and love incorporating fun benefits into our culture, whether that's beer on tap or fitness classes to help our team members balance the free snacks :) we are growing at a quick pace, and with that growth comes a dedication to improving each of our team member's experiences, which also includes offering 401K matching in the future. Thanks again for your review!

Pros

How often do you get to verbally spar with your CEO, have a beer and a Galaga game during the workday, or go out on the town with your boss and actually ENJOY it? If you work at Kabbage, the answer is: Whenever you want to! Kabbage prides itself in nurturing a culture of mutual respect and fun, and they do an amazing job at it! Yes, drinking during the day happens- everything from a Bloody Mary bar to craft beers help spice up the day, and yes, everyone still gets work done! Kabbage treats you like an adult and, in turn, you're expected to handle your business like one. If you're not a multi-tasker with a "get-sh*t-done" attitude, this may not be the best company for you. If, however, you're a fun, quirky person committed to innovation, task management and maintaining a sense of humor, do yourself a favor and apply!!! You won't regret it =)

Cons

Despite the rapidly growing employee count, Kabbage is still very much a start-up. There are lapses in communication between departments, though, rest assured, the higher-ups know about this and are always working to minimize the gaps. Kabbage's salaries are often about 15% lower than those of their main competitors. Health insurance coverage, free lunch, free yoga, free beer, and excellent camaraderie quickly make up for it! I don't count this as a true con, so just make sure you take all factors into consideration if you feel like you're being offered too little.

Pros

Great downtown location, close to everything. Amazing leadership and staff with a clear, distinct vision and eagerness to help people and make a difference. Up and coming company. Breakfast/Lunch provided daily. Comfortable workplace.

Cons

Sales team was pathetic. Sales "leader" was no leader, but a greedy money hungry shark that did not have the customer's best interest in mind, and played favorites.Yes, we were commission based, but I'd rather do the right thing for the customer long term than the "sales leader" short term."Sales Leader" changed the rules several times so that those who were doing the job well, were making less, but if you were one of their favorites, they would turn a blind eye to it and give you all you want.
