Pros

- High hourly pay compared to many respiratory therapy positions - Time-and-a-half pay after 8 hours - Flexible per diem schedule in theory - Opportunity to gain experience in a busy clinical environment

Cons

- Per diem staff often treated like the lowest priority in scheduling - Communication around shifts can feel inconsistent - Limited sense of inclusion with full-time staff - Feeling more like a number than a valued team member

Pros

Hard to find any anymore.

Cons

Don't come here. I have worked At Kaiser a long time. I used to love it. I thought management had our back. I believed that Kaiser really was there to take care of the patients. Things have changes. Our wages got so low no one would apply for our jobs. Patients were waiting months to get CT scans. We had to go on strike to get wages that met others in the area. Management has taken away our education benefits. Just from imaging. This week they announced we would not get bonuses. Every other group is. Kaiser is continuing retaliatory actions against the imaging departments throughout the region. Its miserable here.
