Pros

Overall, I would say that Kansas City has chosen it's Department Directors very well. There's job security, great benefits for full time employees and exciting work.

Cons

The residency requirement is a real downer. It's a City Ordinance that says if you work for the City of Kansas City, MO - you MUST reside within the City Limits of Kansas City. Unfortunately, there aren't that many safe areas within the City anymore unless you go way up by the airport. If you work downtown at City Hall, you have to pay for parking which is roughly $70 per month depending on where you park. The 40 hour work week.

Pros

Its like family working for the great folks of Kansas City MO. I hated to leave, but I just had to because I was moving out of the state. But they were some great people and I loved them

Cons

They gave way to many hugs when I left them. I didn't want go but I had to.
