Pros

Coworkers were fantastic, remote work is a plus. The actual work is also enjoyable and reasonably fulfilling.

Cons

Worked for years at full-time hours, told that promotion to official full time (benefits) was likely. My contributions continually went above and beyond my job responsibilities, but while my job responsibilities grew in response to this, I was repeatedly rejected for advancement. Ultimately, I was told that Kaplan simply does not value writers, which is hilarious given the fact that it's an educational company. In addition, promotions and layoffs seemed random, haphazard, and implemented with minimal communication. My managers are extremely good, but they weren't adequately valued or respected, either. It's just frustrating to get a group of amazing people together to do a cool project and then mistreat them to the point that it ruins the experience.

Pros

Somewhat flexible work hours. Gave me and many of my colleagues the opportunity to pursue side hustle in the arts.

Cons

Pretty typical of a call center. Most of the people, including and especially management, were pretty aimless. The people who were asked to lead received promotions due to there being no better options. Intelligent, high caliber people generally do not want to manage call centers. Caveat, I stopped working there 17 years ago. I doubt the call center even still exists.
