      Good place for part-time work, not so good as a career option

      Pros

      Great place to work due to your direct superiors. Good on-campus job with decent pay for those college students needing a job but lacking a car.

      Cons

      Not a lot of opportunity to advance to any full time positions. You might be better off getting an internship that could transition into a full time opportunity. Upper management taking control of decisions that should be made at local level messes things up and creates confusion.

      Pros

      The customers are a fantastic part of working at Kaplan, as seeing them succeed makes you feel good. Generally speaking, the atmosphere is pleasant, and you can have a pretty decent time.

      Cons

      Unfortunately, some restructuring at Kaplan in how they work their business units led to a large departure of the staff there, as well as the closing of many physical locations. This is the result of a large transition to a more online model of holding classroom sessions.
