      Pros

      Kaplan does pay excellent salaries.

      Cons

      Management does not respect a work life balance. While they pay well they do expect 60-70 hour work weeks. I also found management to be small minded and not open to ideas.

      Pros

      I am able to share a wealth of experience and knowledge with students. The students are very appreciative of the class and actually create a good learning/teaching environment

      Cons

      The National Practice Test, when held in a physical environment (not online), can be difficult for instructors that are not well versed in sales.

      Pros

      Kaplan will give a chance to a new graduate where other companies might be weary. At my particular campus, there is a real sense of family and working together although I hear it is not the same at all locations.

      Cons

      The pay is not worth all the work you will be doing. I have worked there for about 5 years and have seen people with less education and experience come in making more than people who have the education and invested time with the company. There are a lot of inconsistencies with what you are told to do and what is expected of you. You will get a lot of broken promises about promotions. I was guaranteed promotions 3 times and each time I was given some reason for it not happening yet they still expected me to do the work of the jobs I was told I would have in addition to my current position.
