      Pros

      Good initial training, interesting students. They also offer flexible scheduling and a good mix between classroom and tutoring. Also innovating in the online teaching space. Another benefit is the change to help future professionals and phd.

      Cons

      somewhat haphazard management, high turnover. Difficult to get good feedback consistently. Also the nature of certain classes is very different than others and there isn't always good preparation for the differences

      Pros

      Kaplan's strategies work (if properly applied) and I have been able to use them in areas of my personal and professional life unrelated to test preparation.

      Cons

      The pay is much lower than at other companies, especially for teachers who scored in the 99th percentile.

      Great for part-time, hard for salaried employees

      Pros

      Kaplan had a lot of different opportunities and at different locations. There was always something different to do and to learn. Being around the students and staff was great.

      Cons

      The management did not respect the boundaries or personal lives of the employees. If you didn't want to sacrifice your family time it was like there was something wrong with you.
