- First, a pro/con: This is not an easy offering to sell—and each team is responsible for selling it. Kapost is not a point solution and takes a great deal of vision and understanding, which all teams truly have to get on board with. This makes the job challenging, though not necessarily in a bad way.
- The team is lean in terms of resourcing. Budget items that seem necessary for growth get denied more often than approved. Pay is below market, which affects retention, which has led to slow growth on teams that are constantly onboarding. Caveat: Employee concern over salary has been acknowledge by leadership after a company-wide survey revealed it, though I have yet to see them do anything tangible to address it. It's possible they are working on a better plan for the next fiscal year, but it (understandably) depends on company performance and revenue.
