Pros

At Keane people can work in IT in different industries and gain relevant industry specific knowledge as seen fit. There is opporunity to move around to different locations based on the profile

Cons

Limited set of clients and attrition for the company is a major problem. Organic growth seems to be an impediment.

Pros

Large company; opportunity to move to different state or country; peer relationships are great; company assignments are good. Great online learning tool available to everyone. Comprehensive benefits package (except there is no 401k match).

Cons

My experience and those I have observed over the past six years shows me that once hired there are no raises and most job changes are lateral. Very few promotions from within but there is opportunity to move to elevated role if you move to a different company/engagement. My advice for a new person is to get what you need up front and don't believe what is said about increases or training. If you are new to the industry then this might be a great place to start but for seasoned professionals not the best choice. I have also observed that the culture of the company assignments can also make experience better or worse. If the assignment is at a company that has a more balanced work/life culture then workload is managable; if the company is very serious and resents "outsourced" resources then the stress flows to Keane staff and the hours can be very hard to do without some burnout.
