Trying too hard

Pros

People are great, big name that will open some doors, and fairly small compared to other management consulting firms

Cons

-Management is in shambles and it's trying to hard to be McKinsey, and the actual consultants are suffering for it -Up-or-out culture sucks -Lower pay than our competitors -Boring projects depending on where the staffing magic hat places you. You have to push for good projects and good teams or else you're out of luck

Pros

Intelligent down-to-earth people, interesting work, high impact, good compensation, good exit opportunities, ambitious growth goals and projection

Cons

Long hours (not more than others in the industry though and it is getting better), brand recognition in the consulting space (caliber of work is not reflected in the brand)

Pros

Great benefits, i.e., salary competitive, vacation time, etc.

Cons

Easily cuts and outsources overseas for SG&A during economic downturns. Spends a lot at the top, little at the mid to lower bottom of the employee ranks.
