Great Paying Plantation w/ No Values and Bad Culture
Pros
- Pay is good; even better if you're willing to sacrifice your family time, social life, health or your dignity - Paid breaks, OT/DOT - Free uniforms and shoes once a year
Cons
- No REAL onboard training. Training consists of days of group presentations and PowerPoints that pump up company values and facility standards that the company does not uphold to. Hands-on training is basically being thrown into a position and someone may or may not explain what to do. Most often they'll tell you to figure it out yourself and just don't get hurt or mess up. - You won't just be doing your job, you'll be doing someone else job once they find out they can sit back and put all the work on you. Don't bother telling management because "we're a team" (deal with it) is always the response. - Harassments (physical and sexual) and bullying are not taken seriously amongst peers, as these things happen even more often and subtly from leadership. Always swept under the rug and allows for later retaliations that a victim will more than likely be separated from the job for the sake of "the good ol boy" crew. - Forced overtime and call ins that will follow with reprimands if you refuse to adhere to such. Don't count on your doctor appointments, preplanned family events, or your death to get you out of it. - Leadership does not care about GMP or your safety, only numbers and that they look good on paper.
